April ends with rain.
Got an afternoon walk in yesterday after all. Mid-60's and a little humid, which makes for good time - best of the year so far.
Maybe I'll get the same chance to hit the Monon this afternoon as well. Or maybe not - time will tell...!
Wednesday's Haiku
Rain again today -
Water covers everything -
Spring replenishes!
Guess I spoke too soon about heading out when it's raining. When it drops into the 50s or below and it's raining or has been raining it's especially hard to get motivated to go outside. Yeah I have the gear to do it but I walked out on one of my balconies this morning to check the temperature and could see condensation from my breath. That's usually a "stay in" sign...!
Better luck tomorrow. It's still a beautiful day and I have a new hibiscus flower blooming today to enjoy.

Rainy Monon Trail -
See few people when it rains -
Walking solitude!
It's kind of funny how a little rain scares off the masses. I'm not completely exculded from that group though. If it's in the mid-50s or below and rainy, I'm staying home too! But today it was in the mid-60s, so I went for it.
The most I saw while I was out on the Monon Trail in Indy today was a drizzle and it was great. I might have seen 10 or so people during about an hour of exercise.
With no ipod or walking partner, it makes for a nice, peaceful walk.
The lower trees and bushes already have leaves, which seemingly sprung up with Spring in just the last week or so. This growth restores the illusion of the privacy wall or tunnel that makes the Monon such a treat even though it's in the city.
Have an amazing day, even if it's gray on the outside!
